Policy Rundown
Affordability
Georgia’s economy is growing, but the affordability crisis is getting worse and worse. I’ve cosponsored the “Safe at Home Act,” legislation that ensures tenants have affordable and safe housing and sponsored local homestead tax exemption initiatives to help keep homeownership affordable.

Criminal Justice Reform
With over a decade of legal experience, including work with the DeKalb County Attorney's Office and in personal injury litigation, I'm uniquely prepared to champion criminal justice reform. My background earned me a seat on the House Judiciary Committee, where I'm dedicated to passing legislation for a fair and efficient justice system. I also successfully passed a bill to compensate a wrongfully convicted Georgian who spent decades in prison.
Education
I attended public schools in the DeKalb County School District K–12, and I have a long track record of mentoring and developing Georgia's students. I've sponsored legislation supporting the needs of student-athletes, legislation that'd make our schools safer from gun violence, and I host "Lunch with a Legislator" bi-monthly to promote civic engagement.

Safer Communities
Feeling safe is essential, yet so many South DeKalb families don’t feel secure in their homes or neighborhood. I’m a former attorney for the DeKalb County Attorney’s Office, so I know crime and DeKalb’s law enforcement community. I’m determined not just to reduce crime in the short-term, but reform the conditions that lead to crime in the first place.
Healthcare
Georgia is among the worst states in the country in uninsured rate and maternal mortality rate. That’s unacceptable. We must expand Medicaid and accept money earmarked to us from the federal government, and put a greater focus on the funding and expansion of rural hospitals.
